The lucky winner picked up her cheque at the SAS Radisson Hotel in Manchester where it was reported that the lucky online bingo winner could still not believe her luck at winning such a huge amount with an online bingo club.

She said: “I was at home playing on Mecca while my husband was watching the television. I had been playing the Clover Rollover for several weeks trying to win the jackpot. I must have blinked, as I didn’t see the clovers roll in, the screen just started flashing and music was playing and a sign came up saying I had won the progressive jackpot. I just shouted, “I’ve won, I’ve won”.

“My husband came in from watching the television and didn’t know what I was talking about as he didn’t even know I was playing. He looked at the screen and we both couldn’t believe it. We still can’t, it’s amazing. We even took a picture of the screen. I telephoned my family to come over and look at what I had won and we all just kept looking at the screen, it was unbelievable.
